Strictly Tango NYC is the premier studio of pure and authentic Argentine Tango. Based on the style of master teachers Antonio Todaro, Raul Bravo, Juan Carlos Copes, Gloria y Eduardo Arquimbau, Los Dinzel, Pepito Avellaneda, Miguel Zotto, Osvaldo Zotto, Rodolfo Cieri, El Aleman, Juan Bruno, Pupy Castello, Virulazo y Elvira, Nelson Avila among and others, the school teaches several classes covering all forms of tango, milonga and waltz.
The school is known for its high level of instruction, close individual attention paid to each student and the fun and excitement of its classes. Social as well as stage tango is taught and the school has a performance company that performs in shows, events and competitions.
OUR STYLE
The style of the school is a dance of elegance, skill, precision, and playfullness. Emphasis is placed on body control, connection and synchronisation in the couple, speed, and dynamics. Through a carefully devised system of study the students learns in a short matter of time all the skills he or she needs to be able to go to the milongas or social dances and feel comfortable on the dance floor.
OUR COMMUNITY
Our school is the place where smart stylish people who seriously wants to learn tango meet regularly. We also do a lot of social events and people meet new friends through tango. The community is very well know for being friendly and attitude free. Regular events such as “Cocktail Tango” are a great opportunity to practice tango and enjoy friendship. All level of dancers are welcome, even totally beginners.
