Pre-Intermediate Tango

At this level, you will explore more elements and basic structures. The power of the “paso basico” as an eight position system will be taught in order, so you understand how to connect different basic tango structures. In this level, you will develop balance, coordination and confidence on the dance floor. Emphasis will be on navigation and creativity strategies.

In this level you will learn: Molinetes, entradas, sacadas & embelisments.

Intermediate-Advanced Tango

This is where the fun begins. Very advanced material will be covered with emphasis on creativity, speed and precision. You will learn planeos, sacadas, enrosques, patadas, sharp embellishments and more. At this level, it is mandatory to have good fundamentals, balance, coordination, musicality and knowledge of all basic elements and structures of tango.

Tango de Barrio (Tango Orillero)

Tango orillero refers to the style of dance that developed away from the town centers, in the outskirts and suburbs where there was more freedom due to more available space on the dance floor. The style is danced in an upright position and uses various complex figures with embellishments including rapid foot moves, kicks, and even some acrobatics, though this is a more recent development. Most of the material is coming form Soccer moves and every day life situations.
In this class you will learn: The connection with the floor, clear leading, smart following, coordination, fast embelisments, precision through complex figures.

Tango Salon

Salon tango is often characterized by slow, measured, and smoothly executed moves, never moving against the line-of-dance, and respecting the space of other dancers on the floor around them. salons. The couple embraces closely, with some variants having a flexible embrace, opening slightly to make room for various figures and closing again for support and poise. The walk is the most important element, and dancers usually walk 60%-70% of the time during a tango song.
In this class you will learn: the walk, connection, precision, smoothness, musicality and interpretation, good navigation, and following the códigos (tango etiquette)
Milonga-Vals

There are three rhythms in the tango family: tango, milonga and vals. Milonga is a fast and happy dance and vals is waltz done with tango steps. This class shows the student how to work with the music and adapt his or her sequences to the both milonga and vals in the same class. There are two teachers in this class. One of them, attending to the beginners and pre-intermediate level students and another for the intermediate-advance level students

Tango de Varones

Come to explore the “male energy” in Tango and improve your dancing and understanding of the leader’s role!
At the beginning of the century, Tango was developed between men at the practica creating a special connection and energy, similar to the comradery of playing a sport. Couples would dance as a “team”, with a special understanding that fear of hurting each other would limit the development of their creativity, confidence, and precision.
In this class, we will revive the concepts of this original practice technique, and this time women, who want to exploredancing with male eneregy, are invited to join the team! We’ll be studying the dance in the ways of the Tango de Barrio where the source for creativity and leading technique came from soccer moves, children games, everyday movements (bicycling, swaying in hammocks, etc.), and other sports like boxing and martial arts.
We welcome men and women to join us and discover how the original “male energy” in Tango can be used to make you a better dancer!
In this class you will learn: Confidence in the dance. Working as a team. Couple synchronization, Clear leading, smart following.

Tango Tricks (Tango Fantasia)

Tango Fantasia is an elaboration of the Tango de Salon of the 1940s,
adding dramatic poses, ganchos and high boleos and more extensive use of
embellishments, all of which have their roots within some part of tango
history. Tango fantasia refers more to a style of dancing tango than
to the environment in which it is danced, although tango fantasia is
clearly recognized as a form of tango for exhibition and not a variety
of social tango, i.e., the tango de salon danced in the milongas of
 Buenos Aires.
